President Donald Trump is completely obsessed with the idea of fake news. He’s constantly tweeting about the terrible main stream media with its “fake” stories. The New York Times and Washington Post are two of his favorite print media targets.
The failing @nytimes writes false story after false story about me. They don't even call to verify the facts of a story. A Fake News Joke!

Trump’s relationship with Time Magazine is a bit more complex. Naturally, he’s happy to dump on them when he’s in a mood.
Just took a look at Time Magazine-looks really flimsy like a free handout at a parking lot! The sad end is coming-just like Newsweek!

But one of his biggest brags during the campaign was how often the magazine had featured him on its cover. Remember? He claimed he’d been on there more than anyone else. Wrong!
“Donald Trump: The ‘Apprentice’ is a television smash!”
Even more striking, there is another headline, in all screaming capitals, above the name Time that says:
“TRUMP IS HITTING ON ALL FRONTS . . . EVEN TV!”
The date on the framed cover reads March 1, 2009.
The image has been hanging in pro shops, restaurants and other areas in Trump golf clubs from Florida to Scotland. It certainly gave people in those clubs the impression that even back in 2009, Trump was a hugely important person in the United States.
There’s only one problem with the Time Magazine cover.
It’s a big, fat fake.
There was no Time Magazine edition released on March 1, 2009. There was no Trump cover in the magazine on any date in 2009.
Kerry Chyka, a spokesperson for Time, Inc. stated unequivocally that the image was faked. She said:
“I can confirm that this is not a real TIME cover.”
The irony of this situation is inescapable and sickening.
This is the man who screams about fake news every time any media outlet reports anything that he doesn’t like. He has demonized every print and TV outlet he can find, with the notable exceptions of Fox News, Breitbart News, and InfoWars.
Donald Trump is a creator of fake news. Sad!
