Karma is an interesting — and at times vicious — thing, especially when it comes knocking at the door and slaps you silly when you respond.
Such is the case with a tweet sent out by White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders a little more than a year ago:
When you're attacking FBI agents because you're under criminal investigation, you're losing https://t.co/SIoAxatCjp
— Sarah Sanders (@SarahHuckabee) November 3, 2016
The tweet was sent in response to an article from Political Wire which alleged:
“Deep antipathy to Hillary Clinton exists within the FBI. Current and former FBI officials, none of whom were willing or cleared to speak on the record, have described a chaotic internal climate that resulted from outrage over director James Comey’s July decision not to recommend an indictment over Clinton’s maintenance of a private email server on which classified information transited.”
Keep in mind that on Sunday, President Trump posted this about the FBI:
After years of Comey, with the phony and dishonest Clinton investigation (and more), running the FBI, its reputation is in Tatters – worst in History! But fear not, we will bring it back to greatness.

The irony wasn’t lost on the collective Twitterverse:
I agree with @PressSec Sanders. https://t.co/Lj9YG1sJum

This tweet aged very well. Sarah Sander "When you're attacking the FBI agents your losing."
Well Sarah your boss is now attacking FBI agents.
Yes we do know he is losing, and losing his job! @PressSec https://t.co/ZvGdMOM5Qj

Maybe you need to read this again and then stop and think about who else this advice might pertain to. You think?

Please, tell us more about this losing!

Aah! Aging nicely! Surprising complexity. That original boldness up front is being supplanted by notes of rue, and I'm definitely tasting the schadenfreude. It'll be ready for drinking very soon!
— Louis Sisneros (@LouisSisneros) December 4, 2017
Thanks Sarah! There is nothing better than having your own words come back and bite you. I have a feeling you have been drunk all weekend.

So you DO have the ability to tell the truth, just never at the appropriate time
— cólz (@colz) December 4, 2017
The very first sentence of this article suggests that bias exists in the FBI. The only bias the FBI has is a bias towards truth and justice.
May the indictments multiply and drench us all in clarity.— Zizi Roberts (@zizabella) December 4, 2017
Wow! This came back to bite you in the ass like a Pitbull on a boomerang!!!
You people truly are the gift that keeps on giving ?????— THEALKEMIST❄️?? (@gehenna1888) December 4, 2017
This tweet ages like a fine bathtub afternoon moonshine
— ipse dixit (@zombiemarcus) December 4, 2017
Oh. Oh this is particularly piquant.
— Christina Nicholls (@iAmCCNicholls) December 4, 2017
Funny how a person’s own words can return months later and make them look like a fool, isn’t it? Of course, Ms. Sanders was already a fool, so this only magnifies the fact.
