Huckabees Open Their Mouths And Jam Their Feet In Deep (VIDEO/TWEETS)

Anyone who has watched Sarah Huckabee Sanders over the last year-plus–first as deputy White House press secretary, then as press secretary–can be pardoned for wondering where she gets her often condescending schtick.

Those questions became even louder on Wednesday morning, when Sanders wagged her finger at Nancy Pelosi for not smiling enough during the State of the Union address. No, this isn’t snark.

Sanders dropped by CNN’s “New Day” to discuss the State of the Union address. Host Chris Cuomo wondered what Donald Trump could do to reach out to Democrats after seemingly giving a speech aimed at Republicans. Predictably, the Princess of Lies thought Trump didn’t need to change a thing.

What came as a surprise, though, was her take on the scowl Nancy Pelosi seemed to be wearing for most of the night. She mused that Pelosi ought to get a sunnier outlook–for the country’s sake.

“I think that Nancy Pelosi looks like that all the time. I think she should smile a lot more often. I think the country would be better for it. She seems to kind of embody the bitterness that belongs in the Democrat Party right now.”

That’s not just a dog whistle, folks. That’s a dog whistle being blown into a megaphone. Sanders was effectively telling the nation that they can’t trust the Democrats when one of their public faces is a bitter and angry woman. Even by the standards of this White House, the sexism was staggering.

Not surprisingly, Twitter was not impressed.

At first glance, it appears that whenever Sanders makes a false or unhinged statement, her lips are moving–but Trump is speaking through her.

Or maybe she learned her lessons from her father, Mike Huckabee, better than we thought. After all, just a few days earlier, Huckabee got the bright idea to mock Ruth Bader Ginsburg for skipping the State of the Union.

Huck included a picture of Ginsburg nodding off during Obama’s 2015 State of the Union address. But Twitter didn’t think this was a bit funny.

Clearly, the apple didn’t fall too far from the tree.

And it has been amply demonstrated that this tree, and its associated fruit, are rotten to the core.
