She came, she saw, she invoked the name of Maya Angelou. And on Wednesday, Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) brought down the house with a fiery speech that will define this historic day. This is the day that justice is finally served, at least in part, to the most corrupt president our country has ever known.
Y’all, I don’t know if I’m jaded, old, or just dang tired, but I’ll tell you the truth: in the last year or so, not much has gotten me excited or inspired me when it comes to politics. And it’s not just me. Other people have told me “girl, same.”
I think we’ve become so desensitized and numb because of Trump’s daily abuse that it just takes a lot to grab my attention. But today? Oh, hell yeah. Maxine Waters has inspired me.
Watch this first clip, but WHATEVER YOU DO, don’t skip the next clip.

“Ladies and gentlemen, unfortunately, the rules of debate won’t allow me to cite all of the reasons why this president should be impeached. There are many. However, Madam Speaker and members of this House, to quote the late Maya Angelou ‘When someone shows you who they are, believe them the first time.’
This day was no inevitable but it was predictable because this president has shown himself time and time again to believe that he is above the law. And he had no respect, for our Constitution or our democracy.”
Now watch this clip, where the shit gets really real. Real real.
Go Auntie Maxine! https://t.co/eiKHwvvqz4

“It’s no secret that this president could have been impeached a long time ago. Today we stand here with an irrefutable case and an indisputable set of facts that this president absolutely abused his power and obstructed Congress. Any other individual who would have been caught conducting themselves in the way this president has would have been prosecuted to the full extent of the law.”
History will remember.
“It is shameful that any members of this house are willing to disregard the Constitution, turn a blind lie to hard facts, and ignore a confession from the president himself. History will remember those who were willing to speak truth to power.”
Truth. To. Power.
She reminds us that she’s been calling for Trump’s impeachment for a looooooong time.
“Yes, I called for Trump’s impeachment early,” Waters said. “This is our country. Our forefathers and our foremothers shed their blood to build and defend this democracy. I refuse to have it undermined.”
Trump, you didn't get $5 billion to carry out your ill advised election promise & now you want to declare an emergency. The only emergency facing our country is the need to impeach you before you destroy our country, our ideals, & leadership in the world. Trump, go home. Bye bye!

And then she brings it home. Oh, my, yes, she brings it home.
“I wholeheartedly support this resolution. I’m proud that in the final analysis, justice will have been served in America, and Donald Trump will have been impeached.”
When she gaveled out, she “yielded” time back (time she no longer had) as her Democratic colleagues laughed in delight.
Congresswoman Maxine Waters, an extraordinarily low IQ person, has become, together with Nancy Pelosi, the Face of the Democrat Party. She has just called for harm to supporters, of which there are many, of the Make America Great Again movement. Be careful what you wish for Max!

Maxine Waters didn’t look like an “extraordinarily low IQ person” today, did she?
Crazy Maxine Waters, said by some to be one of the most corrupt people in politics, is rapidly becoming, together with Nancy Pelosi, the FACE of the Democrat Party. Her ranting and raving, even referring to herself as a wounded animal, will make people flee the Democrats!

She didn’t look like “Crazy Maxine Waters” today, did she?
I’m proud of Maxine Waters today. I’m a proud American today. And I tweeted this to my children.
.@franniewillis and @Willis12Liam you're experiencing a historic day. 50 years from now, remember @RepMaxineWaters on this day. That is all. #IMPEACHMENTVOTE
