What is the Dolly Parton Challenge that’s trending on Twitter? Legendary country and western singer (and living f*cking legend) Dolly Parton is 74 years old and she’s created a viral meme challenge. Did she mean for this to go viral? Dunno. But of course, she did! Because she is a living f*cking legend and has known how to make stuff go viral for longer than some of us have been alive.
On Tuesday, Dolly Parton posted a meme that went viral and started the Twitter trending topic of #DollyPartonChallenge. As of this writing, it is Friday afternoon and it’s still trending. Since Tuesday.
Do you know hard it is to get something to trend? And to make it trend for that long? I’m telling you….living f*cking legend.
The Dolly Parton Challenge
For LinkedIn, we have Dolly a la buttoned up; for Facebook, Dolly looking like someone’s mother in her ugly Christmas sweater; for Instagram, a contrasting visual presenting one of my favorite photos of her; for Tinder, well…you go, Dolly!
Here’s the meme. And yes, it’s awesome. It shows four totally hot photos of Dolly herself as she would look if she were on LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and Tinder, with the caption “Get you a woman who can do it all.”

Since she posted the meme, it seems like everyone has posted their own meme with their photos lined up to represent LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and Tinder. OK, I haven’t. Not yet. Would the world even notice? Doubtful. But let’s share some of the other celebs who have shared their Dolly Parton Challenge.
We have Shonda Rhimes, one of my heroes. Little boring, though. Little boring. (sorry, Shonda)
