Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin is married to an actress named Louise Linton. On Saturday, for one brief shining moment, Linton actually showed that she has some values: she posted a comment on Instagram showing support for teen climate activist Greta Thunberg.

“I stand with Greta on this issue (I don’t have a degree in economics either). We need to drastically reduce our use of fossil fuels.”

Linton quickly took the post down, but of course, numerous people screengrabbed it.

Recently, Mnuchin attacked Thunberg at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland by suggesting that she doesn’t know what she’s talking about in regard to climate change.

“After she goes and studies economics in college she can come back and explain that to us,” Mnuchin said of Greta Thunberg calling for divestment in fossil fuels.

This is what Linton’s “I don’t have an economics degree either” comment is referring to, so Linton knew exactly what she was doing.

This is her second marriage, and Steve Mnuchin’s third marriage. Is this the writing on the wall? Maybe.

Louise Linton is a law school graduate, and claims on her Instagram that she’s “Not a Republican. Not a Democrat. Humanitarian & Animal Welfare activist.”

In other words, a liberal. You can’t be a humanitarian and be a conservative.

Linton was born in Edinburgh, Scotland and received her law degree from the University of West Los Angeles. She’s been married to Mnuchin since 2017. Her family owns a castle (no, really) outside Edinburgh.

According to Linton, she trained with a private coach at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. She spent most of her childhood at boarding school and spent a gap year before college volunteering in northern Zambia. Linton is her stage name; her real surname is Hay.

Although she considers herself an actress, she doesn’t have a lot of film or stage credits under her belt. She apparently got her first role because her then-husband, Ronald Richards, paid the director $200,000.

Sort of explains how she can stomach a guy like Steven Mnuchin, doesn’t it? Oh, and Vice Pres. Mike Pence married them.

Linton has been in a few more films and is a producing partner at a Los Angeles production company that she founded.

Anyhow, this lady, liberal or not, is steeped in one scandal after another. Check out her Wikipedia page for more info.
