Rush Limbaugh Announces He Has Late Stage Lung Cancer

The biggest mouth in conservative media, Rush Limbaugh, announced on Monday that he has advanced lung cancer.

Rush Limbaugh Announcement

“I have to tell you something today that I wish I didn’t have to tell you,” announced Limbaugh on his show, before revealing, “I have been diagnosed with advanced lung cancer.”

“Diagnosis confirmed by two medical institutions back on January 20th. First realized something was wrong on my birthday weekend, January 12th. And I wish I didn’t have to tell you this, and I thought about not telling anybody,” he continued. “I thought about trying to do this without anybody knowing because I don’t like making things about me, but there are going to be days that I’m not going to be able to be here, because I’m undergoing treatment or I’m reacting to treatment, and I know that would inspire all sorts of curiosity with people wondering what’s going on.”

“This has happened, and my intention is to come here every day I can, and to do this program as normally and as competently and as expertly as I do each and every day because that is the source of my greatest satisfaction professionally, personally,” Limbaugh declared.

Rush Limbaugh and Cigars

Rush Limbaugh famously loves cigars. He even frequently recommends them for his listeners. There are lots, lots, lots, and lots of articles citing Rush’s love for cigars.

Limbaugh’s face is wide and open, with penetrating and superbly intelligent eyes that contain more than a glint of humor. Yes, he is serious, but he is also having fun. Lots of fun. The aroma of Cuban cigars, he says, even pleases women, many of whom have been known to object to the odor of other cigars (just as many have been known to object to his penchant for referring to them as girls and to his less-than-favorable reviews of what he considers the “radical” feminist agenda). “Often you just bring out a cigar, and it’s an immediate hysterical reaction, even before you light up. But when I light up a Romeo y Julieta Churchill, it seems to be the cigar that women like. They don’t object to it at all.” (Cigar Aficionado)

That Time Rush Said He Was Safe

On his radio show, Rush once said that because he smoked cigars and not cigarettes, he was safe. Because he doesn’t inhale. The title of the show was “Two Health Tips to Start the Day.”

“So I’m safe, folks. I got out of it long before I hit 44. It’s like I never smoked, because of this research today. (interruption) Yeah, I smoke cigars, but I don’t inhale the cigars. You don’t inhale those.”

Conservative Twitter Is Calling for Prayers for Rush Limbaugh

Liberal Twitter Has Also Reacted

As a Christian Lefter (I love Jesus but I cuss a little), should I pray? I can tell you this. I’ve never rejoiced for anyone’s death. I won’t rejoice for Rush Limbaugh’s death. I will feel nothing. However, I won’t cry for Rush Limbaugh’s death.

Thoughts and prayers.
