People That Should Never Be Allowed To Cook – EVER

Sometimes when I’m bored and looking for something to entertain myself in between reporting on political stuff, education, the environment, and other depressing stuff, I like to go surfing around the Internet.?I usually just?bounce around?to see what I can see, like and re-pin a few posts, and carry on. Imagine my surprise when I stumbled upon these hilarious cooking disasters.

I’m going to start with a real life example. I have a friend that belongs in this category. Literally, she cannot even boil water. This is one of her handy kitchen disasters:

Yes, the plate is cracked – as in completely broken – and whatever she was making is definitely not recognizable. We tease her immensely about her kitchen prowess. She assures me that this information will be made available, up front, to any prospective husband material that happens into her life. She should not be allowed to cook – EVER.

The folks over at Off Beat have a rather lengthy slideshow dedicated to cooking disasters, in addition to all the fodder that can be found on sites like Pinterest, FailBlog, and many other similar repositories. Here are a few of my personal favorites. If you happen to be one of these cooks – I’m hoping that someone in your family has some culinary expertise so you don’t starve to death.

I think this one might have been a cake? At some point in time? Several hours before it was discovered? Maybe?

The frozen pizza always says to put the pie directly on the oven rack, without anything under it. I’m not quite sure where this one went wrong, but that is definitely not how to properly cook a pizza.

This one just made me laugh, out loud, and for a long time.

This one should be filed under “What were they thinking?” That filmy substance is some kind of a plastic sheet. Well, it used to be a sheet before the application of heat. Now it’s some kind of molten blob.

And this? Maybe file it under “I am sooooo glad I don’t have to clean your oven!”

Those are some of my favorites. Take some time and visit funny sites once in awhile. It is a great stress reliever.
