Like many Americans I was shocked to learn that Jared Fogle, known by most Americans as Jared from the Subway Restaurant commercials, was being investigated for child pornography.
Even when I first heard the news, I assumed that maybe it was someone working for him or that there was some other explanation.
It’s kind of funny how we seem to give likable celebrities like Fogle and Cosby way too much benefit of the doubt. It’s like our minds fight to preserve the carefully built media characters that we had grown to trust.
So it turns out that Fogle is a child molester and someone who may be unworthy of continuing to draw air from this world. While I don’t advocate violence against child molesters, I wouldn’t care if people like Fogle live or become fertilizer.
In this video, Fogle is on a VH1 show mocking criminals from the NBC show “To Catch A Predator.”
The show focuses on child predators who attempt to lure children (who turn out to be police officers) into meeting them and having sex. Instead of meeting their prey they meet Chris Hanson, who informs them that they are on a TV show and begins to interview them.
