Kansas City police are currently investigating two high school students who allegedly uploaded and posted a video on Facebook showing them sexually assaulting an unconcious teenager in a motel room. They reportedly posted the video in the hope of getting “likes” on the social media site.

The students, who have not been named by authorities, attend high school in the Raytown School District. The video under investigation was posted over the weekend, shortly after the two met a teen girl at a pool hall and then sexually molested her. In the video, the girl seems to be unconscious. Her blouse has been pulled up to expose her bra and she has on no clothes below the waist.

While the teens who posted the disgusting video may have been hoping for a positive response from their peers, they were instead universally condemned for their actions. Most who saw the video commented that it was only further victimizing the girl. The video was pulled off Facebook, but not before a concerned citizen took screenshots and turned them over to the Kansas City Police Department.

The female victim–also unnamed–posted on her own Facebook page that it was indeed her in the video and is calling for her attackers to be prosecuted for the crime.

Officials with the Raytown School District issued a statement in which they stated:

“The Raytown School District has been made aware of accusations against two students in an off-campus incident. While we cannot control choices made by students outside school hours, we will cooperate to assist police in any way we can.”
