Ruth Bader Ginsburg To Make History And Conduct Same-Sex Marriage Ceremony

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg is set to make history on Saturday by being the first Supreme Court Justice to conduct a same-sex marriage ceremony. Ginsburg will be officiating at the Washington wedding of Michael M. Kaiser, Kennedy Center President, to economist John Roberts.

And no, there is no relation to this John Roberts and Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts.

Justice Ginsburg is excited about her historic role.

Ginsburg and Kaiser — an influential Washington civic leader — are personal friends and Ginsburg is a huge supporter of fine arts. The 80-year-old liberal justice and lifelong feminist leader?has been in the majority in recent gay rights victories?that have been settled in the U.S. Supreme Court.
