If you haven’t seen the new Axe commercial yet, you might want to get a box of tissues handy. Using the tagline “Make Love, Not War,” the latest ad campaign from the makers of men’s grooming products takes an unexpectedly tender approach toward the threat of war. The commercial, which is set to air during the upcoming Super Bowl, sets you up to believe that all hell is about to break loose but instead — well, I’ve said enough already.

Since first appearing on YouTube on January 14, the ad has generated online buzz because of its moving conception of world peace, as well as its use of actors who resemble former Iranian President?Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. International strife might seem like too weighty and serious a topic for a deodorant brand to tackle, but somehow Axe manages to handle it with maturity, grace and humor. If only body sprays were really the answer to war and aggression!

Watch the commercial below. Then, after you’re done weeping like a baby for ten minutes, run out to your supermarket and pick up some Axe, which is supporting the nonprofit Peace One Day.
