Finally, is a seven year old boy named Chen Xiatian from China, who gave up his life for his terminally ill mother Zhou Lu,?and two others. Chen and his mother were both terminally ill and suffered for close to 2 years. Chen was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor and 2 months later his mother Zhou was diagnosed with kidney disease. As a result of his tumor. Chen was stricken with blindness and could barely move, he and the doctors knew he would soon die. Knowing that his kidney was a match for his mother, Chen chose to die to save her. Zhou, his mother, refused at first, but Chen was?adamant and?would not take no for answer. Finally, she agreed knowing that although her son may not be alive, a piece of him would live in her. On April 2, 2014 Chen Xiatian passed leaving his mother his kidney. Doctors also removed his other kidney and his liver, saving two others. All three transplants were a success and all three are expected to recover and?carry on with?normal lives. Chen shows us the incredible amount of unconditional love given by a son towards his mother.

These three young men have shown more bravery than most grown men and that should give us hope for our future generation.

Courage is not the absence of fear but rather the judgment that something else is more important than fear.” Ambrose Redmoon
