Forrest Lucas, founder of Lucas Oil in Indianapolis, took out a full-page ad in Thursday’s Indianapolis Star that says his wife regrets the Facebook comments in which she made disparaging remarks of minority groups and said her words were ?harsh and insensitive.?

Charlotte Lucas wrote that she is?sick and tired of minorities??
Mrs. Lucas claimed minorities are ?running the country,? however, her husband has a net worth of $300 million and their company brings in an annual revenue of $150 million, so the couple is not so oppressed after all.
Lucas said his wife is ?extremely saddened by her actions,? and he underscored her earlier apology.
?Although it was not Charlotte’s intent to offend anyone, her comments were harsh and insensitive,? the ad states which appears in ?letter-form ?on Lucas Oil Products Inc. letterhead with Forrest Lucas? signature. ?Her words were hurtful to many and disappointing to all.?
Her Facebook post read in full:
?I’m sick and tired of minorities running our country! As far as I’m concerned, I don’t think that atheists (minority), muslims (minority)n or any other minority group has the right to tell the majority of the people in the United States what they can and cannot do here. Is everyone so scared that they can’t fight back for what is right or wrong with this country??

Later she released a statement to media outlets:
?My comments did not reflect my personal views about any individual or minority group, only my frustration that our government system sometimes seems out of balance,? she said. ?We live in a great country, but the agenda for our elected officials is too often dictated by special interest groups.?
She explained to RTV 6 before hanging up on the call; ?I was very upset when I wrote that,? she said. ?I will not elaborate other than to say that there are certain people who are trying to make the whole world eat what they want to eat and do what they want to do. I don’t think it’s any of their business what I put in my mouth. Thank you.?
In the ?ad published on Thursday, Forrest Lucas says the Facebook post did not ?reflect the feelings in her heart.?
?Those who know Charlotte appreciate that she is a caring and loving person who has great respect for everyone.?
