The CIA torture report has been released, and that makes old man Cheney a little cranky. He would have gotten away with it too if it wasn’t for us meddling liberals! He admitted?he did not read the report. No surprise there considering?the former administration he served as vice president wasn’t very big on reading. Reading is for us smarty pants liberals after all, right?
Count Dracula… Oops! I’m sorry. I meant Vice President Dick Cheney. According to the New York Times, he heard nothing from news reports to change his mind about the wisdom and effectiveness of the program. Well Mr. Vice President, if you read the report you would know that it was far from effective. But again, I shouldn’t expect you to actually read.
He then went on to say this:
?What I keep hearing out there is they portray this as a rogue operation and the agency was way out of bounds and then they lied about it. I think that’s all a bunch of hooey. The program was authorized. The agency did not want to proceed without authorization, and it was also reviewed legally by the Justice Department before they undertook the program.?
Hooey, really? Can you say that a little louder Dick??I don’t think they heard you in the 1920s. In his cranky little rant, he denied that the CIA lied about it. According to USA Today, the report revealed in order to gain approval for the program the CIA willfully gave false information to Congress, the White House, and other agencies. Dick, your arrogance is only second to your ignorance.
Mr. Vice President, are you denying this because you are afraid of bad press? When did you ever have any good press? Or are you just complaining about this for attention?
