Megyn Kelly’s Ex-Husband: ‘She Wanted A Wife’

Fox News host Megyn Kelly’s first husband is speaking out for the first time. Dr. Dan Kendall, an anesthesiologist, has been “bugged” about Kelly’s revelations that she has experienced the betrayal of infidelity and Kendall wants people to know that it was not him who?betrayed her.

Kelly, 44, has admitted on air that while she has been betrayed, it wasn’t by her current husband. Dr. Kendall told this to the Daily Mail:

“I can say with 100-percent certainty that I was completely faithful to Megyn,” Kendall told the Mail.

“When she made that comment about it not being in her current marriage it irritated me a bit because it seemed like she was suggesting it was me,” he added.

“I texted her at the time and she apologized. I think I was a good husband.”

Kendall appeared on?Kelly’s?show in 2011 as an expert?to discuss Conrad Murray, the doctor charged with involuntary manslaughter in Michael Jackson’s death.

The problem, Kendall says, is that after they married in 2001, Kelly was unwilling to give up her career.

“I wanted a wife and she wanted a wife – we both needed someone to cook and clean and support us. She has very much a Type-A personality. I couldn’t imagine her staying at home. She needed more of a Type-B husband. Sometimes with two professionals it doesn’t work out, we were both working extremely hard and both excelling at what we did.”

Well I’m relieved that both of them know exactly what a wife is for — cooking and cleaning! (sarcasm, my people)

Kelly and Kendall remained friends and she moved to place nearby when they divorced.

“So we broke up, it was mutual. She wanted to work on things and wanted to keep it going but I realized it wasn’t going anywhere. She moved just down the street and it was very amicable – we still walked the dogs together.”

Kendall, 45, and Kelly divorced amicably in 2006 and he has even appeared on her show as an expert medical guest. They are both happily remarried and have young children. Kendall said that he thinks he knows the identity of the person who cheated on Kelly, but will not be the one to reveal it.
