Could you live on minimum wage? Can anyone? A kid who still lives at home with his/her parents, maybe.
There’s a reality to minimum wage, however, and the image below illustrates that reality far better than political arguments do.
Look at that paycheck. Do a little mental math. What if rent were coming out of that? Groceries…childcare. Health insurance. Medications. School supplies. It’s terrifying.
