There Is No Love Like A Mother’s Love – Grab Tissues (VIDEO)

When these parents?were told that one of their pre-mature twins didn’t make it, they did an extraordinary thing.

When?Kate went into labor at 26 weeks,?she and David Ogg became instantly worried. They knew the twins Kate was expecting stood a much better chance the longer she carried them. But there was no turning back. The twins were delivered – one boy and one girl.

The doctor informed the Oggs that their boy had passed away during the birth, but that the girl was fine. Kate wanted to hold the stillborn?baby, whom they had named Jamie. They let her. She cradled Jamie, such a small, cold baby boy, against her bare chest. She ordered David to remove his shirt and join her on the bed to help warm their son.

They spoke softly to Jamie, telling him about his sister in the other room. They cuddled and stroked the small boy and made him feel loved. When the baby began to stir, the midwife was called, but she only told the Oggs that their baby was dying and that they should be saying their good-byes.

The Oggs refused to give up. They cuddled and cooed and stroked that small boy. He began to warm up, and was moving more. He reached out and grabbed the tip of David’s finger. And then he opened his eyes.

The rest is history. The twins are now five years old and healthy. They have a younger brother. Jamie looks after his twin sister, Emily, and they are a beautiful family.

When someone tells you that there is no love like the love of a mother for her child – believe it. When the midwives and doctors had given up on little Jamie, his mother never did. She loved him to life.

Go home and hug your mother – or at least call her and say, “I love you, mom.”
