I remember my first Starbucks drink. It was a caramel macchiato. Now I’m not a big coffee drinker; when I do drink it I like to add a little bit of coffee to my sugar. So this drink was right up my ally!
Starbucks was founded in 1971 and became a national phenomenon some 20 years later. It’s pretty amazing when you consider how Starbucks has come to replace the word coffee in many people’s vocabulary.
Starbucks has recently made news with their “Race Together” campaign, taking on the topic of race relations in America. I can’t imagine any other American corporation with the guts to even acknowledge this subject.
