Sorry. Actually, Fox anchor Chris Wallace decided to fat shame Kelly Clarkson during a radio interview segment on April 4th. I guess he figured talking about important issues like politics was just a waste of the American people’s time. But in their stupidity, radio hosts Mike Gallagher and Wallace may have stumbled upon a very important topic.
Many people disagree over the concept of “fat shaming.” Many conservatives tend to feel that women use the term to deflect criticism of their weight issues while feeling free to criticize men for their weight. Is there some truth to this? Many point to humor directed at Governor Chris Christie by the left as a prime example of “liberal hypocrisy” on this issue.
In my opinion, “fat shaming” needs to be a thing of the past. It’s bullying, plain and simple. It does not matter if you are male or female. It’s wrong, and the behavior should not be continued by an evolved society. We know that many teenage girls develop serious body image issues, as do teenage boys. These issues can lead to things like eating disorders, drug abuse, and even suicide. This behavior by the adults of our society sends the wrong message.?
