Author Stephen King has been becoming increasingly vocal in the political sphere, at least on Twitter. It started with a minor squabble with Maine Governor Paul LePage over taxes.
Gov. LePage was in a complaining mood and was spouting off about celebrities that claim Maine as their home, but live and pay taxes elsewhere. He made the mistake of including King in the list of people who should be ashamed of themselves for not supporting Maine. Oops . . .
In answer to the accusations, King tweeted the following,

Two days later, having been completely ignored by Gov. LePage, King tweeted,

King has weighed in on national politics and his views on equality are quite evident, as he tweeted the following in response to Indiana Governor Pence signing the license to discriminate,

His sense of humor may be dry, but it conveys very well in the limited 140 character landscape of the Twitterverse. He jokes about his evil dog (who is actually quite adorable), the depth of boredom experienced when watching 18 holes of golf, and a multitude of other ‘normal guy’ subjects. He watches the same TV programs and tweets awkward randomness like this,

When considering the slate of 2016 Republican Presidential Candidates, the author had this to say,

I have gained a new respect for the Master of Horror. He is somehow more human to me to me now. Through his tweets he has shown the world that he is just like we are, with the same concerns and daily struggles (and non-functional Comcast service).
I have ‘a feeling’ that his appearance in our 2016 presidential race will not be just another cameo.
