It’s been amply established that the Bandidos, the biker gang involved in Sunday’s grisly shootout in Waco, Texas; are thugs. For those who missed it, when these guys took their gunfight out on the parking lot, they not only opened fire in a crowded area, but some of them turned their guns on police. Small wonder they’re being held on a million dollars bond each. Any doubt that this was a bit too high was erased yesterday, when word got out that several members of the military who are also Bandidos have helped the gang obtain weapons and explosives in an effort to avenge the nine bikers who were killed.

CNN obtained a bulletin from the Texas Department of Public Safety that warned of plans by the Bandidos to target high-ranking law enforcement officials and their families. The story broke live on last night’s edition of “Erin Burnett OutFront.” Watch here.

Besides the McLennan County Jail in Waco, where over 170 bikers are being held, they reportedly plan to target officers in Dallas, Houston, Austin, El Paso, and Corpus Christi. The plan calls for attacking the officers with car bombs at traffic stops, or following them home and ambushing them there. Even more chillingly, several military servicemen who are members of the Bandidos are reportedly “supplying the gang with grenades and C4 explosives.” The goal is to retaliate against police for the deaths of the Bandidos’ “brothers” on Sunday.

The information was obtained from an informant who got wind of the plans from sources in the Bandidos and another biker gang, the Black Widows. While DPS couldn’t immediately substantiate the information, it considered the informant’s tip credible enough to alert agencies across Texas and the nation. According to CNN’s Evan Perez, biker clubs and biker gangs frequently gather in large numbers on Memorial Day weekend.

It’s a pretty safe bet that if federal prosecutors aren’t already investigating the Bandidos, they definitely are now, in conjunction with the military law enforcement agencies. If the Bandidos’ allies in the military are indeed aiding and abetting what can only be described as domestic terrorism, they may have given the federal government the excuse it needs to smash these thugs once and for all.
