The World Naked Bike Ride,?is an international clothing-optional bike ride. The organization that coordinates the nude bike rides carries the motto “bare as you dare.”

As with most good ideas, the WNBR caught bad publicity last year?when the ride began in a public park in Portland, Oregon.

Fellow protesting citizen, Joe Goertz, had this to say?

You know, just because Portland is really proud of being weird there’s a lot of citizens in this town that don’t have that world view that just anything goes,?

So the sensible and logical thing to do would be to move the ride to another place right? WRONG!!

The WNBR is pushing through, and the flesh is heading back to a public park, except this time it’s at Colonel Summers Park in South East Portland, Oregon, a place supposedly more attuned to the ride.

I know you are probably thinking what is too much for a nude bike ride? Well, apparently, one biker got barred from the ride this year in Kent after getting “over excited last year.”

So we know that you can get kicked out, but, hey, it’s all civil, right?

The Naked Bike Ride even hit a college campus in Vermont. The University of Vermont had a long running tradition of nude biking riding from 1996-2011; it’s too bad it was canceled.

Nevertheless, the WNBR continues and may even be coming to a city near you by going to this website and many others like it.

Critics may cite that it’s indecent or that it ruins residencies and culture, but they are wrong- it’s expression.

Those are the bare facts.
