Some animals have such a strong maternal instinct they will even protect another animal that isn’t remotely like them.
Such is the case with Sami the German Shepherd and her little lobster friend.
The family that owns Sami has plans for a lobster dinner. But when Sami gets ahold of the lobster, she’s not willing to let it become a meal. She refuses to let her human family members take the lobster from her, and even shows her teeth when another dog tries to approach for a closer look.
After awhile, Sami’s owners do manage to retrieve the lobster, but by then Sami has already shown us all what friendship is really about.
