Twitter racists have proceeded to lose their minds because the Charleston shooting of a black church is referred to as a “hate crime.” Seriously.
Several tweets have surfaced questioning whether or not the shooter is white. Really? Another claims that we shouldn’t assume he is just because the survivors, all people of color, said that he was.
Then, of course, there are those blaming the liberal media, as well as people of color, for “pulling the race card” when a white mass murderer shoots up a church targeted by racists in the past.
This is, of course, despite statements made by the shooter about his motives:
“You rape our women and you’re taking over our country. And you have to go.”
I’m not sure which “our” these Twitter racists think the shooter was referencing. Did he assume the people of color at that church were raping mass murderers’ women? Did he believe that people were taking over the country of people with bowl haircuts? Come on, Twitter. There’s only one conclusion to be drawn from this statement.
Then there are those blaming everyone but the shooter for violence and trying very hard to silence those who point out the effects of racism.
Along with the typical “no one cares about white people while black people get away with everything!” comments, peppered with “it’s okay to shoot them because I’ve heard they shoot each other!” craziness.
But you didn’t think Al Sharpton would escape blame and accusations, did you?
Wow. Here’s a clue, guys.
This was a hate crime. It was racially motivated. The shooter even stated that it was.
Stop trying to silence those who speak up when people of color are murdered because of their race. Stop assuming that people of color are so stupid, so opportunistic, that they need a “race pimp” to come in and lead them to some false belief that they’ve been targets of racism.
They’re smart enough to KNOW they are being targeted and dying every day.
