Just 16 hours after killing nine people inside an historic Charleston, South Carolina church,?Dylann Roof was treated to a free meal from Burger King by the Shelby police officers who arrested him.
Shelby police chief, Jeff Ledford, told the Charlotte Observer that Roof complained of hunger while in police custody. Roof told police officers that he had only had a single bag of chips before the? manhunt. Here’s what Ledford told yahoo,
“He did have something to eat while he was there, and he was secured in cuffs the entire time.”
Of all the the suspects to buy lunch for. I mean there is no way in hell anyone can tell me this is a common practice! You can’t be serious! When my father was in his 50’s he was falsely arrested many years ago in our home. They busted down our door, drove a knee into his back (which he need surgery for afterwards), and would not even let him use the bathroom in his own house! But Roof gets treated to a kid’s meal with a toy?
Yet some how we are not supposed to be angry. No we should forgive Roof, all hold hands and pray to white Jesus in the street to take our pain away.
I’ve read a few comments saying this is a common police tactic to bring a suspects guard down, making it easier to get a confession. Okay, I’ll bite. Bring him a baloney sandwich, maybe a bag of chips and some water. But you know -?they had video of him at the church, eye witnesses, and forensic evidence -?remind me why?they needed to make him feel “comfortable” again?
Maybe I’m overreacting as many conservatives undoubtedly will suggest. Maybe they ordered off of the dollar menu and requested that the fries be cold? Gee, I feel better about this bullshit already, how about you?
