Indiana Woman Interrupts Housework To Post Religious Rant On Facebook Page–Rails Against Same-Sex Marriage

A woman in Indiana stopped what she was doing around the house, fired up her video camera, and filmed an extended rant which she posted to her Facebook page. The video has quickly gone viral.

Becky Wegner Rommel says she is particularly upset with the recent Supreme Court ruling on same-sex marriage, but she also rails against President Obama, Muslims, and “lukewarm Christians.”

Rommel (and I cannot help but notice that her last name is the same as a famous general who fought for the Nazis in World War II), begins her over the top blathering by saying:

?This is a very sad day for a lot of Christ followers because today our government decided that everything that God created his church to be ? as man, as woman, Adam and Eve ? five justices decided that God was wrong.?The fact is, the God of the universe ? He is the truth. Jesus Christ, not Mohammed, OK? Just like these Islamic extreme-lists ? extremists, OK. They’re not just extremist, they’re Islamic, President Obama. Islamic extreme-lists.?

What I cannot understand about these people who are so upset about who gets married to whom is this: How exactly does that affect you? I’m a Christian, but if my neighbor wants to marry a person of the same sex, it doesn’t have anything at all to do with me. Live and let live, I say.

But Ms. Rommel was far from finished with spouting out her vile poison:

?I don’t care if you’re my Facebook friend ? but Christians are little Christs. Those are people that follow Christ. That means that we believe that when babies are born, when they’re conceived, Jesus said, ?I knew you before you were conceived.? That means that they are not to be aborted, OK? It means that a man and a wife are to be married, OK??

One minute she’s on marriage, the next she jumps to abortion. Typical right wing nutjob: They have to try and spew out as many of their propaganda talking points as they can in a few minutes of time.

Rommel then begins crying and says:

?He came to die on a cross because of you. The very people that are just, like, spitting him in his face right now. He loved you so much that he died the sinner’s death. Now someone’s gotta pay for our sin ? he did it on the cross for you. Now is the day that you accept him as lord and savior and you ask for forgiveness and tell him, ?Lord, I made a mess of my life and I need you.? Please, Christians, please make a stand. Make a stand for what you believe in. Don’t just sit there and say you don’t care.?Dear Jesus in heaven, I just pray that these people wake up, Lord, that they see that our nation ? the very men that made our Constitution, they were believing, they believed in you as lord and savior ? these men did not expect our country to have this happen. I just pray that you forgive us, Lord. Forgive us, cleanse us from all unrighteousness.?

Sounds to me like this woman needs some intense psychotherapy. Perhaps we can pray that she will get some.
