The Clayton County Police said that 49-year-old Sandra Barnett was kidnapped and then killed by Lisa Brown, Barnett’s apparent mistress.

But here’s when the story gets twisted.

According to Clayton County Police Capt. Richard Gandee:

“Sandra was actually on the telephone with a friend when Lisa showed up at the front door. Lisa Brown was actually driving a vehicle owned by Buster.”

I don’t think I am the only one who thinks that’s a bit twisted.

Brown actually entered Barnett’s home and then proceeded to kidnap her while Barnett was on the phone. The friend had heard a struggle before calling a friend to check on the situation.

The chase of Barnett’s Durango driven by Brown began on Interstate 20 and went into Alabama before she was eventually arrested.

It was found out that Buster Barnett had intended on taking his wife on a trip that Brown didn’t know about, which only served to fuel the fire. Brown had gone?to Buster Barnett’s home first to complain about the trip.

Shortly after the Alabama police joined in with the chase, Brown stopped in the middle of the interstate around marker 208 and shot Sandra Barnett before turning the gun on herself.

Barnett was remembered for being a teacher and an individual?”who was] bubbly, happy spirit — just happy. Every day at work, you could just count on her.”

And it’s sad to think that somebody would have to fall at the hands of her husband’s weakness.

But the story continues as this wasn’t Lisa Brown’s first run-in with the law nor her first kidnapping.

According to Gandee:

“Lisa Brown was actually on probation for kidnapping out of the state of Texas.?She had kidnapped her child that she had lost custody of, and the jurisdiction down there had to track her for like three days to find her.”

A bit scary if you ask me.

But what makes this case even scarier is that this isn’t the first time mistress-gone-wrong has happened in the NFL.?In 2009, former All-Pro Quarterback Steve McNair was killed by his then mistress 20-year-old mistress?Sahel Kazemi. McNair died from multiple gun shot wounds before Kazemi turned the gun on herself.

It’s hard to believe that it has to come to first degree murder, when a relationship goes awry.?These are the most extreme cases of “if I can’t have you, then nobody can.”
