This week’s news has been dominated by terrible news like the senseless death of Cecil the Lion, and of course Donald Trump. But sometimes we seem to miss those small stories that remind us of our shared humanity.
Two brothers at a beach in Dustin, Florida, spotted an injured hammerhead shark in distress. They didn’t hesitate to render aid to the injured animal.
In a brave act, one of the brothers boldly grabbed the shark and brought it to shore. The brother then proceeded to remove several deep fishing hooks embedded in the shark’s mouth and body.
After removing the hooks, he released the shark back into the shallow water.
However the shark seemed disorientated, so the other brother swam out to help the shark get back to the deep water.
Once again, these are very brave and humane people who should be commended. There is good left in this world, and there are millions of kind acts both small and large taking place every day. It’s nice to write about one of them.
