Unbelievable! Cop Pulls Gun On Unarmed Man For Filming Him, Says ‘Go Ahead, Put It On YouTube. I Don’t Really Care’

Thanks to camera phones, more and more unbelievable scenes of police officer harassment are being captured and published on websites like YouTube every day.

Unbelievable
screen grab

Recently a man identified as Don McComas, a resident of Rohnert Park, California, was on his property minding his own business just hooking up his boat in the middle of a beautiful California day. McComas noticed a police cruiser driving very slowly around his court. He starts filming the officer and things went down hill very quickly. Here’s how McComas describes the incident on Facebook:

“Don McComas…………….How about having a gun pulled on you today. Love the RP Police.
NOTE, I am not anti police however the lies and distrust I’ve encountered from the Rohnert Park & Petaluma Police over the last 15 months is something I wouldn’t ever believe if I heard it from someone else. This is just a time I was smart enough to hit record as I was approached at my home.
Backdrop: I was hooking the boat up when the officer pulled slowly into my court. When he rounded infront of my house he stopped yet did nothing, then crept forward and instead of leaving toward Snyder he rounded the court opposite of me, then stopped facing me for a few minutes, doing nothing but pointing straight at me/my house. After a couple minutes I was concerned enough to pull out my phone and hit record. Glad I did. The arragance [sic] he showed me shouldn’t come from an officer of the law. They should de-escalate, not escalate or provoke….
Very thankful my 5 year old daughter and the rest of the family were not home as well………..”

The video really gets bizarre when the officer pulls out his phone while still seated in his cruiser and looks to be filming McComas! Unbelievable! An agent of the government openly trying to intimidate a free citizen by filming him on his own property! But of course, the constitutional violations get much worse.

The officer proceeds to exit his vehicle and within seconds pulls out his gun and instructs McComas to take his hands out of his pockets. He then proceeds to stalk McComas onto his property while holding his gun to his side. He tells McComas that he can go inside his house, but he has the right to tell him to remove his hand from his pocket.

The officer even admits to stopping primarily because he saw McComas filming him. I’m sure there will be L.E.O (Law Enforcement Officer) sycophants who will rush to defend the cop saying that McComas could have been a “terrorist” or “nutjob” looking to hurt police officers, and that the officer was just being safe.

The “reasoning” away our basic constitutional rights is becoming more and more problematic, and it allows police officers to say things like what this officer said to McComas with a pleasant smile before he finally left him alone:

“Go Ahead, have a nice day. Put it on YouTube… I don’t really care.”

If citizens don’t take a stand against the attitude that too many police officers have in this country, we are heading down a very dark path. Here’s the video, below. I included a shortened 2 minute version and the full 5 minute version (for those who will claim it’s “out of context.”)
