Junior Seau wasn’t able to be at his own Hall of Fame induction ceremony after he took his own life in 2012, but his daughter carried her father’s fighting spirit throughout her speech.

“He is the epitome of a perfect match to football because they are both stubborn, they are both relentless, competitive and hard-hitting,I know this is not my speech to give,”

Hall policy doesn’t allow live speeches during a posthumous induction but a compromise was made to allow his daughter to speak an interview. Seau took his life back in 2012 after a long standing battle with depression and from CTE a disease that results from repeated head trauma’s.

She continued,

“This is his. He spent 20 years in the league, and he deserves this moment. All I can do is humbly attempt to thank the people in his life and his career that made this induction possible.”

Seau was the ultimate competitor. He made 12 straight pro-bowls and throughout the 1990’s was considered one of the games most feared linebackers.

But don’t take my word for it, take his daughters in the video you never saw.
