If Presidential candidates were treated the way batters are in baseball, Jeb Bush would have been called out on strikes a long time ago.
And on Tuesday, Bush once again did his swing-and-miss routine with the facts while on a campaign stop in Colorado, proudly proclaiming:
“I, for one, don’t think Planned Parenthood ought to get a penny though, and that’s the difference because they’re not actually doing women’s health issues. They’re involved in something way different than that.”
I guess all those Pap tests, mammograms, and contraception that Planned Parenthood provides don’t qualify as women’s health issues, Jeb? Do you place those under the “something way different” category, or did you just say this in order to pander to your audience?
What, a member of the GOP pandering? Shocking!
But shortly after Jebbie had put his foot in his mouth for the umpteenth time, Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton went online and called out George W. Bush’s little brother with this:
“Jeb is just wrong. ” /> 2.7 million patients for
” /> 900K cancer screenings and
” /> 4.5M STI tests and treatments/year https://twitter.com/jmsummers/status/636190680545665024 …“
And then the former Secretary of State made sure to note that the rest of the GOP field is just as extreme as Jeb:
“Reminder: Jeb isn’t the only Republican who wants to defund Planned Parenthood.”
Exactly, Ms. Clinton! The pack of professional liars who call themselves the GOP contenders for 2016 have all bowed and genuflected in the direction of those who would love to take away a woman’s right to exercise reproductive choice.
Planned Parenthood also corrected the former Florida Governor:
Hey, Jeb, go ahead and take a seat on the bench, because right now you couldn’t hit a political baseball if it was the size of a bowling ball.
