Last week, Hillary Clinton made a surprise appearance on “Saturday Night Live” to show off her funny side. Not to be outdone, President Barack Obama was in San Francisco Oct. 10 for the Democratic National Committee (DNC) fundraiser. While giving his speech, he took the time to show his always-ready funny side by having some fun at Kanye West’s expense.

After announcing that he was running for president at the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards, Kanye took a little heat. So with a little humor, President Obama decided to give Kanye a little advice. During his speech at the fundraiser, the President said this of Kanye:

“You may have heard about this, Kanye is thinking about running — for Speaker of the House… It couldn’t get any stranger. But in case Kanye is serious about this whole POTUS thing, or as he calls it “Peezy,” I do have advice for him. It’s some stuff that I picked up on the way.

First of all, you’ve got to spend a lot of time dealing with some strange characters who behave like they’re on a reality TV show. So you’ve gotta be cool with that.

Second, this is the second important tip. Saying that you have a beautiful dark twisted fantasy, that’s what’s known as off-message in politics. You can’t say something like that. A lot of people have lost their congressional seats saying things like that. You don’t do that. That’s number two.

And number three, do you really think, that this county is gonna elect a black guy from the South Side of Chicago, with a funny name, to be President of the United States? That is crazy. That’s cray.”

Yes, the President spoke of important issues, also. He even spoke of Donald Trump, but this was a fundraiser. So in the vane of some good ole fundraiser fun, I’m going to leave Trump out of any serious conversations for the day. I wonder what Kanye’s fundraiser would look like? Never mind.
