Perhaps you’ve seen Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke on Fox News at one time or another. He is not shy about blaming all the problems of the African-American community in America on the Democratic Party, and he just loves to serve as the Amen Chorus for the Fox jerkweeds when they feel a need to verbally attack blacks.
Once again last night, on Hannity, Clarke decided to pour a massive bucket of derision on Democrats and African-Americans during a discussion of the Black Lives Matter movement, saying:
“They’re whoring for votes. They know that’s what they’re doing. The liberal ideology has been very destructive for the black community for the last 50 or 60 years. Poverty is now generational, it’s a lifestyle.”
Juan Williams, who was also part of the panel, agreed that Democrats are pandering to Black Lives Matter, but added:
“There is a real issue of excessive use of police force in the country. Black Lives Matter has come as a response to that issue, and so what you get is Democratic politicians…”
Clarke cut Williams off abruptly, not even letting him complete his thought, shouting:
“No there isn’t!”
What a surprise! A sheriff is denying there’s a problem of excessive force by the police in this country. Imagine my shock.
Williams then countered by commenting:
“He says there isn’t. There’s no argument that clearly there’s an issue if you have Michael Brown, if you have Eric Garner, if you can go on.”
Hannity, just as dense as ever, also had to say that he didn’t understand how there was a difference between Blacks Lives Matter and All Lives Matter. Well of course you don’t, Sean, because YOU’RE WHITE! I just love how whenever anyone on Fox News tries to have an honest discussion about race and inequality in the United States, the host will inevitably chime in by saying, Don’t all lives matter?
Yes, they most certainly do. But it’s not young whites we see being tased, tear gassed, and shot in record numbers in this country, now is it? If that was the case, how much do you want to wager the nimrods at Fox News would start a special segment on all their shows entitled, White Lives Matter?
