President Barack Obama Speaks Out About Russian Airline Crash

President Barack Obama has spoken out about the recent Russian plane crash and stated the “possibility” of there being a “bomb on board.”

During a radio interview yesterday, Obama said that although it was not definitive, the evidence was now pointing toward the crash being narrowed down to a terrorist attack rather than a mechanical fault with the aircraft.

Although initially planning to take a backseat in investigations, Obama has now confirmed private investigations will take place and stated:

“We’re going to spend a lot of time just making sure that our own investigations and our own intelligence community figures out exactly what’s going on before we make any definite pronouncements. But it’s certainly possible that there was a bomb on board.”

The A321 Russian Airliner crashed in Wadi al-Zolomat, Sinai Peninsula, whilst en route to St. Petersburg on October 31, killing all 224 passengers and staff on board.

British Prime Minister David Cameron has already spoken out about the likelihood of the crash being caused by a terrorist group. This latest incident swiftly follows the shooting in Tunisia that occurred in June this year, leaving 30 British tourists dead. Cameron’s concerns for the British public is apparent as he called for all British flights to and from Egypt to be grounded soon after news of the crash broke out.

It seems as though Obama now shares Cameron’s concerns and has called for extra measures and precautions to be taken in order to prevent any future incidents from occurring.

The latest information released about the crash has raised fears over the rise of ISIS and speculation over notorious terrorist organization al-Qaeda, responsible for various terrorist attacks from the early 1990s onward, including the 9/11 attacks that left the entire world devastated. Obama is now taking the necessary measures to investigate further.
