Leaked Memo: BuzzFeed Tells Staff To Drop Bipartisanship, ‘OK To Call Trump A Racist’

You know the crap is getting ugly when the editor-in-chief of one of the most popular (mostly) non-partisan websites in the world gives the OK to his staff to call a political candidate a racist.

BuzzFeed editor-in-chief Ben Smith sent his staff a memo on Tuesday to clarify exactly how they should address the insanity of the Donald Trump presidential campaign. The memo was in response to staff queries about what’s OK to post on Twitter and Facebook about the billionaire nutjob candidate (yes it’s OK for Liberal America writers to call him and any other GOP candidate a nutjob).

Smith requires that that BuzzFeed writers’ news and political coverage on the Trump campaign “reflects the facts of his campaign.” He points out the obvious: the fact is that Trump is “operating far outside the political campaigns to which those guidelines usually apply.”

Here is a screenshot of the memo, posted by Smith on Twitter after The Blaze exposed the leaked memo.
