A Florida man is accused of distracted driving resulting in hitting and killing a cyclist. His reason? Oral sex.
According to New York Daily News:
“An inattentive driver receiving oral sex from a female passenger he met at a bar struck and killed a bicyclist along a Florida highway Saturday night, authorities said. The suspect, Randy Joe Allen, 54, kept driving after encountering a “bump” along U.S. 92 in Auburndale and told the woman he hit a stop sign, according to Polk County Sheriff’s Office investigators.
“A witness saw the fatal wreck and followed Allen to call in his license plate to 911 dispatchers. The witness returned to the site of the alleged hit-and-run and found the bicyclist had died.”
The victim who is identified as homeless man – 49-year-old Terry Lamunt Rosscould only be identified through his fingerprints.
According to the Orlando Sentinel, deputies tracked the suspect to a Lakeside bar where the suspect (who was allegedly drunk) slurred his speech when quizzed by deputies. He claimed to have no idea what he hit although his dented, blood-splashed truck told the gory tale.
A witness to the fatal wreck followed him in order to call in Allen’s license plates. However, when the witness returned to the scene of the crime, the victim was already dead.
In addition to the charge against him in connection to the hit-and-run, he could face additional charges pending toxicology reports.
As it turns out, Allen is no stranger to brushes with the law as he has had seven previous arrests, including a DUI arrest in 2008.
