The Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin, appeared on the 2015 Kennedy Centers Honors to honor singer/songwriter Carole King. Her performance gave all new meaning to the phrase “bring the house down.”
Even President Obama had to wipe away tears as the 73-year-old legendary singer belted out her famous tune “(You Make Me Feel Like A) Natural Woman.” Like everyone else in the audience, I struggled to keep my eyes dry and gave the amazing Ms. Franklin standing ovations, even in the middle of the song.
