It’s an established fact that some of the lunatic fringe right-wing religious nuts who call themselves ministers can say some incredibly ridiculous and even unhinged things at times, but I do believe that Virginia pastor Jim Hill has just rocketed to the top of the charts with what he recently said.
Hill, on his TV show entitled, “What Does the Bible Plainly Say?” began by declaring that pro-choice activists want to kill babies and “chop them up like chopped liver or chickens.”
While he was at it, Hill also decided to take umbrage with Americans who approve of same-sex marriage, abortion. and gun safety laws.
Here’s what Hill had to say in reference to the recent birth of a child in the community where he lives:
“First thing they want to do is bash their brains out, cut their throat, chop them up like chopped liver or chickens, sell the parts. First thing you know, they’ll start selling everything but the crying. And they’ll find a way for that.
“Fifty million babies have been killed and thrown in the garbage can and sold! Shame on America. I tell you, I believe if he lets America get by then one of these days, he’ll have to apologize Sodom and Gomorrah.”
As you can tell, this guy jumped the shark a long time ago. But he also had to extol on the recent executive actions on guns signed by President Obama, and he went as far overboard with those comments as he did on the right to choose:
“You know, that’s what Hitler did to Poland and Hungary and all those countries when he took them over. The Second Amendment gives us the right to protect ourselves. Protect us from who? Number one, the government! I’m afraid of my government, I’m scared of my government, I don’t trust my government.
“I used to like it but I don’t like it anymore. You know why? Because it’s out to get me, it’s out to disarm me, it’s out to kill me, it’s out to stop me from worshipping God.”
In conclusion, Hill also urged his viewers to “hang on” to their guns because that’s the only way to stop the rapists and “whoremongers” that want to storm in and take over your property, take over your family, kill your wife.”
I think it’s safe to say that no one would ever want to break into Jim Hill’s house, if only because they’d be afraid he might start preaching to them.
