The NRA just loves to tell us that if more Americans had guns, we’d all be so much safer. Arm teachers, they say. Arm college students. Arm every single person who wants to be armed and the crime rate will plummet, they allege. Of course, that is total and absolute bullshit, but the NRA has to try and raise money somehow, so they turn to fear and wrap themselves in the Second Amendment.

Just the other day in Murray, Utah, the NRA’s theory of arming everyone hit a bit of a rough patch when a customer at a McDonald’s whipped out a gun and began to threaten restaurant employees.

On the video, the man is seen arguing with an employee at the drive-thru window, and then the car he’s in drives away, only to return a few seconds later. The psycho gunman then sticks his handgun into the drive-thru window, only to change his mind and declare:

“I don’t need this.”

No, what he needs is a psych evaluation and some anger management courses for the next five years or so.

Michela Spikes, who works at the McDonald’s in Murray, commented:

“It makes you think, if he was going to shoot one person, how do we know he wasn’t going to jump through and do the rest.”

Thankfully, this unhinged gun totin’ piece of human excrement decided it wasn’t worth a long prison sentence to use his gun. But it makes me wonder: The NRA says guns make us all safer, so how come I don’t feel any safer after watching this video?
