Cruz’s New TV Commercial Might Just Get Trump More Votes

Almost all liberals, progressives, Democrats, Independents, Green Party peeps, and even many Republicans have been trying to figure out the mystique that surrounds the “Donald.” What is it that makes this total jackass look like a viable candidate to so many people that he is riding the top of the GOP polls?

Most of the other GOP candidates are tired of Trump stealing the limelight and having all cameras focused on him at all times. Trump is a constant source of controversy and unfortunately, Americans are a morbid bunch. They constantly slow down when driving by that traffic accident trying to get a grotesque glimpse of a dead body or a pool of blood. The train wreck of the GOP candidate circus is no different. Everyone wants a glimpse of gore – so we watch, raptly, waiting for the bloodshed.

After Trump’s big win in the New Hampshire primary, all the candidates are headed south for the next wave. As the polls were closing in NH, Ted Cruz unleashed a new TV commercial. It trounces Trump in a yuuuge way.

The commercial opens with a young boy entering a playroom occupied by two other young boys. The boy holds his prized possession aloft and tells the others:

“Look, I’ve got the Trump action figure!”

The boys act curious, asking what it does. The first boy responds:

“He pretends to be a Republican.”

The boys utter several of Trump’s frequent talking points about donating money to Pelosi, Reid and other Democratic politicians. A brief cameo appearance by the Hillary action figure has Trump proclaim:

“Hey Hillary, I’ll give you money to be my friend.”

As with all things Trump, the innocent play soon turns violent as the boys shift into discussion of eminent domain and limousine parking lots:

“I’m going to take your house with eminent domain and park my limos there!”

They completely destroy a dollhouse squealing joyfully as they knock down the walls looking every bit like a demolition crew clearing the way for new construction.

The commercial ends with worried parents peering around the corner and the narrator saying:

“We wouldn’t tolerate these values in our children, why would we want them in a president?”

The question about this is, will this commercial be devastating to Trump? Or will it backfire on Cruz and elevate Trump’s poll numbers even more?
