BREAKING: Sarah Palin To Star In Courtroom Reality Show As Next Judge Judy

Every day we get up thinking “how much crazier can the right wing get” — then this kind of thing happens. People Magazine has reported that in February former half-term Alaska governor and failed vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin has signed a “Deal to Preside Judge Judy-Style Over Her Own Reality TV Courtroom.”

People isn’t known for satire. So yes, this is true.

According to People, the show will premier in the fall of 2017 as a nationwide syndicated daytime show. It will be produced by Montana-based production company Warm Springs. From People:

“It’s a production deal,” the source explains. “What happens next is she’ll meet with stations, make a pilot and sell it.”

Warm Springs first approached Palin with the idea in 2015 and has since put together a team that includes the TV executive who found Judge Judy and Judge Joe Brown.

It should be noted that there is one pretty big difference between dingbat Sarah Palin and the other judges: she does not have a juris doctor degree.

BUT…apparently, she was picked for her “other qualities that make her perfectly suited to the job.”

“Palin’s telegenic personality, wide appeal and common sense wisdom make her a natural for this kind of format and she was Warm Springs’ top pick for this project.”

And there’s this quote from Howard Bragman, Warm Springs’ public relations executive, via USA Today:

“She’s sold millions of books, one of which sold over 2 million copies, she’s a proven ratings draw, she has close to 6 million followers on social media, she has a huge audience and you can say that audience corresponds well with a daytime audience,” Bragman said Tuesday.

Even Twitchy, which is a Twitter curation site run by right wing nutjob Michelle Malkin, thinks it’s hilarious. This is their headline: “Let HER Be The Judge? Legal Scholar Sarah Palin Working On Judge Judy-Type Reality Show.”

Yee-haw! Well, I’ll tell you this. She’ll get some of her ratings from my household, cuz there’s no way we’re missing this shite!
