‘Not On My Watch’ — Trump Retweets Meme Of Terrified Refugees Fleeing Burning City

GOP front-runner Donald Trump just can’t stop his hyperbolism on social media aimed at promoting his often misguided and outrageous ideas. It comes as no surprise when evil Trump retweets anti-immigrant views on his Twitter account.

He did exactly this yesterday when he retweeted a meme of terrified refugees fleeing a burning city in Syria with the caption “Sorry, not on my watch. Saudi Arabia has plenty of room for you.”

With this retweet, Trump reinforces his long-held stance that Syrian refugees are not welcome in the United States. He even stated in the past that Syrian refugees fleeing war could be an ISIS Trojan horse:

“What I won’t do is take in 200,000 Syrians who could be ISIS. I have been watching this migration. They’re mostly men, and they’re strong men. They look like prime-time soldiers. This could be the greatest Trojan horse. This could make the Trojan horse look like peanuts if these people turned out to be a lot of ISIS.”

Trumps doesn’t just spew anti-immigrant rhetoric; he bases them on unfounded information. For instance, statistics show that most more than half of Syrian refugees are women and children, not “mostly men.” His anti-Mexican immigrants talk is equally based on incorrect information:

“When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending the best. They’re bringing drugs, they’re bringing crime. They’re rapists.”

Contrary to what Trump says, research by the American Immigration Council shows that despite the number of immigrants in America tripling between 1990 and 2013, the rate of violent crime actually dropped by 48 percent in the same period.

The unfortunate outcome of evil Trump retweets on Twitter is that his misinformation reaches the millions of Americans who follow him. The horrible things he says about immigrants are shared many times, dividing Americans instead of uniting them. This is not what a candidate for President of the United States should be doing.
