Fraud Investigation Leads To Horrifying Discovery In Man’s Home

A horrifying case involving sex trafficking and child porn has Detroiter Ryon Travis, 32, back in court. The Detroit News reports, he faces sex trafficking and child pornography charges after police found a woman tied to a stripper pole inside his west side Detroit home.

Detroit Man Accused of Child Sexual Abuse

The Detroit News reports, Assistant U.S. Attorney Sarah Woodard said,

“The examination of the defendant’s LG phone recovered a series of pictures depicting the sexual abuse of a very young child by an adult male.”

Woodward added,

“The child appears to be between the ages of 3 and 6 years old.”

Women Beaten, Forced Into Sex Trafficking

When West Bloomfield Police initially searched the home in early March as part of a fraud investigation for $50,000, they found an L7 phone with severely graphic pictures. Homeland Security returned to the home March 21. and found a woman tied to a stripper pole. A chain around her neck with a padlock to a longer chain was used to restrain her.

Woman’s Injuries Required Trip To Hospital

The 25-year-old woman says she had been held hostage for two weeks, and that Travis sold her and other women online for sex. She said  if the women performed badly (stripping) they were beaten by Travis. She suffered injuries bad enough to require a trip to the hospital. When she ran away Travis found her and chained her to the pole in his living room.

Travis Is Locked Up – His Crimes Inexcusable

For now, Travis remains behind bars. There is no way of knowing how many women and children he’s abused. What is clear is that he is a threat to women and children. Trafficking women and sexually abusing children are inexcusable crimes.

Here’s hoping he is found guilty of all charges and remains jailed. His behavior and treatment of vulnerable human beings are horribly disgusting.
