Rep. Peter King Really Doesn’t Like ‘Carnival’ Sen. Ted Cruz

Like most Republicans these days, Representative Peter King (R-Y.) really doesn’t like presidential hopeful, Senator, Rafael Ted Cruz (R-Texas), and he hopes that voters will feel the same way he does when the April 19 New York primary election rolls around.

Talking to voters, Rep. King had absolutely no issues spouting his opinion of Sen. Cruz during an April 5 interview with the Joe Piscopo Show, which airs on AM 970, according to BuzzFeed.

Hey Voters, Listen Up…

Rep. King isn’t voting for Sen. Cruz, in the primaries, and he thinks New Yorkers shouldn’t vote for him either. If they do, he said, – if they even think about it – they should have their “heads examined.”

Stressing the point, Rep. King went on to say,

Really, here’s a guy who refused to sign onto the 9/11 health care act for the cops and fireman. Here’s a guy who talks about New York values.”

The New York values comment comes from an attack by Sen. Cruz on Trump during an April 5 Howie Carr Show. He equated New York values with the nastiness that Trump brings to the political race.

Back in January, Rep. King even told Sen. Cruz to “go back under a rock,” according to CNN. Now, Sen. Cruz wants to act as if he never insulted New Yorkers in the first place – he wants to pretend the entire thing never happened.

Fortunately New York values mean something different from what Sen. Cruz implied. Not to mention that you can’t unring a bell, and Rep. King is here to remind them of that, and that he feels really, really strongly about the issue. New Yorkers are a tough breed, says Rep. King, and they won’t let no cowboy walk all over them.

I hope he gets the cold shoulder and other things from every New Yorker. Send him back where he belongs. He’s a phony...”

Rep. King trailed off, probably realizing what he was saying on live radio. Arguing that the comments were “off the record,” he still went on to say he “just can’t stand the guy.”

Peter King’s Choice For President

Who does Rep. King like and hope voters will choose in April’s primary? Trump, of course. Surprisingly, Rep. King also likes Governor John Kasich (R-Ohio), and wants to see “the ideal race,” which in his mind is one between Gov. Kasich and Trump.

Cruz is a guy I really don’t like and by the way, John Kasich is a really good guy … John Kasich is good guy.”

Even after the off the record comments, Rep. King continued berating Sen. Cruz, calling him a smooth talker who’s delusional, and believes he’s going to wear God’s armor, “Come on. Give me a break,” Rep. King said.

Sen. Cruz would like New York voters to forget what he said about them. He might even think New Yorkers are dumb enough to not care what he really thinks – or maybe Sen. Cruz thinks they’re Christian enough to forgive him instead.

Either way, while Rep. King might be a typical Right Wing Nut Job, he’s spot on when he says “Cruz would make a better carnival than president.”
