Last night on the HBO show “Real Time With Bill Maher,” Maher had filmmaker Michael Moore as his guest, and the two vowed they would do everything in their power to make sure Donald Trump lost the election in November.
Maher asked Moore what he was prepared to do to guarantee Trump is not the next President, and Moore responded:
“Bill, the question you asked, what are we going to do between now and November? You and I are going to take him down. You and I.”
Moore then added:
“No seriously, this is the end of Donald Trump. He is not going to the White House. That is not happening.”
I applaud Maher and Moore for their efforts, and suggest we all do likewise. There will be a very clear choice in this election. If Hillary Clinton is the Democratic nominee, the race might be close at times. She is not a perfect candidate, but she is 1000 percent better than what we would get with Trump.
I am of the firm opinion that Trump will lose by a historic margin, no matter who the Democrats nominate. But we must each devote ourselves to making sure Trump is indeed overwhelmingly rejected so that a message is sent to the world: We do not support this man, and he is not indicative of who we are as a nation.
