Teacher On Leave After Giving Racist Test Questions

Of course, this is in my state… A teacher in Mobile, Alabama has been put on administrative leave for giving racist test questions. The questions were on a math quiz:

“Tyrone knocked up 4 girls in the gang. There are 20 girls in his gang. What is the exact percentage of girls Tyrone knocked up?”

“Leroy has 2 ounces of cocaine. If he sells an 8 ball to Antonio for $320 and 2 grams to Juan for $85 per gram, what is the street value of the rest of his hold?”

What teacher would do this? Is she trying to be cool or something?
A local mom, Erica Hall, said her son texted her pictures of these questions while he was taking the quiz.

The questions featured topics such as prostitution, drugs, and drive-by shootings. Hall said:

“They took it as a joke, and she told them that it wasn’t it a joke, and they had to complete it, and turn it in.”

Hall said she took the picture of the questions to the school and demanded answers. The teacher, who has not been identified, was reportedly in her last year before retirement.

In 2010, a south Florida Chief Richard E. Perez sent out over 86 inappropriate e-mails to his colleagues using the government e-mail system. He was given a resign or be-fired ultimatum. Perez also abused the city’s leave policies. One of the e-mails had a joke with racist test questions similar to what the Alabama teacher used. Here are some of the questions:

“Lajames has an AK-47 with a 200-round clip. He usually missed 6 of every 10 shots and he uses 13 rounds per drive-by shootin. How many mofos can Lajames ice on a drive-by before he gotta reload? … Leroy has 2 ounces of cocaine. If he sells an 8 ball to Antonio for $320 and 2 grams to Juan for $85 per gram, what be the street value of the rest of his shit? … Dwayne pimps 3 ho’s. If the price is $85 per trick, how many tricks per day must each ho turn to support Dwayne’s $800 per day Crack habit?”

This is part of a chain of jokes that has circulated the internet for a long time.
