WikiLeaks Published 1,258 War Emails – ‪Clinton Challenged Yet Again (VIDEO)

Prepare yourselves for more twists and turns in the email recovery case of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. WikiLeaks, the anti-secrecy website, just released a staggering 1,258 emails from Clinton’s private email server, which were written during the latter part of the Iraq War when she was Secretary of State.

WikiLeaks tweeted a link to 1,258 emails on Monday, which, according to UK Independent, were obtained from the U.S. State Department, after they issued a Freedom of Information Act request.

The emails are part of a State Department release back in February. Before publishing them on WikiLeaks, its controversial founder Julian Assange said they included enough proof for the FBI to indict the presumptive Democratic nominee for president.

Assange was proven wrong. FBI Director James Comey announced Tuesday that his office would not do any further investigation into the matter.

It also turned out that out the two out of 55,000 emails in total, which were marked as classified, had been done so by mistake. Clinton may be guilty of poor judgement, but not of breaking the law.

And browsing through the mundane nature of the messages, they seem to confirm an investigation based on all smoke and no fire, at least judged by these particular emails. Steven Aftergood, director of the Project on Government Secrecy at the Federation of American Scientists, confirmed

“There was no assertion of damage to national security because of this episode.”

The emails are published for everyone to see for themselves on WikiLeaks.

So the case is finally closed? Well, Assange warns there are many more emails to be released… Watch this video for more of the latest twists and turns in the Clinton email recovery case.
