Obama SLAMS Trump During Press Conference After Summit (VIDEO)

President Barack Obama held a press conference after his travels through Southeast Asia this week, and he had some strong words about Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.

His ‘Wacky Ideas’ Make Him Unqualified

Obama did not mince words when it came to Trump. According to Bloomberg, Obama was quoted Thursday at a briefing after a summit with Southeast Asian leaders in Vientiane, Laos:

“I don’t think the guy’s qualified to be president. Every time he speaks, that opinion is confirmed.”

Also from Bloomberg:

“Obama blasted Trump’s ‘contradictory or ill-informed or outright wacky ideas’ and called his behavior ‘outrageous.’ He said he was confident that if people ‘just listen to what he says’ and ‘look at his track record — or lack thereof — they’ll make the right decision’ in November’s election.”

Of course, Obama is absolutely correct. Trump continues to prove himself completely unfit for the office of president. Considering the fact that no living president – also known as the people who know what the job actually entails – will endorse him, I think they’d all agree with Obama on this.

The president, whose approval rating is currently above 50 percent, is fully supporting Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton in the race. World opinion polls also show that Obama has helped raise the status of the United States on a global level. The right wing, naturally, would love for people to believe the exact opposite.

Obama Speaks Of ‘Serious Business’ At Press Conference

As Justin Sink wrote for Bloomberg,

“Obama said his week of meetings with leaders from across Asia had demonstrated that the job of president was ‘serious business.’

‘You have to know what you’re talking about,’ Obama said. ‘You actually have to have done your homework.'”

Contrast that with Trump’s belief that he can pawn off the actual duties of president to Mike Pence, and that being “presidential” is “easy.”

Trump is so out of his league here. It would be funny if it wasn’t the “serious business,” as the president said, of being the President of the United States. As it is, it’s dangerous. I hope the president is correct that American voters will make the right (sane) choice.
