Donald Trump swears he never ever watches CNN. Apparently he doesn’t like their coverage of him. And since CNN doesn’t bow and scrape to the orange clown the same way Fox News, it’s not surprising that Trump isn’t fond of the network.
Which makes Trump’s comments this morning on Twitter about CNN even more bizarre.
On Labor Day, CNN aired two documentaries about the candidates for President. The one on Trump was called, All Business: The Essential Donald Trump, and it did well in the ratings. But despite the fact that Trump received two hours of free publicity on a major cable network, this morning he sounded ready to breathe fire, tweeting out:
The documentary of me that @CNN just aired is a total waste of time. I don't even know many of the people who spoke about me. A joke!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) September 9, 2016
Then he followed up with this bit of venom:
The documentary of me that @CNN just aired is a total waste of time. I don't even know many of the people who spoke about me. A joke!

As if that wasn’t enough, then we went after Jeff Zucker, the head of CNN and former head of NBC while Trump was also at NBC with his half-assed show The Apprentice:
Jeff Zucker failed @NBC and he is now failing @CNN.

Seems we have caught the Orange Menace in another lie. As recently as September 3, he had this to say regarding CNN:
Great visit to Detroit church, fantastic reception, and all @CNN talks about is a small protest outside. Inside a large and wonderful crowd!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) September 3, 2016
So if Trump doesn’t watch CNN, how does he know what the network is talking about when it runs stories on him? Here’s one from a day later:
"@AnneBellar: @realDonaldTrump @CNN CNN is so biased. Never ever watch them. Trump 2016!!"
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) September 4, 2016
If there’s one thing we know about Trump with absolute certainty, it’s this: He’s a narcissist. I’m willing to bet he reads and watches everything he can get his tiny hands on if it mentions him. So for him to pretend that he isn’t watching CNN is ludicrous. He cannot get enough of himself and the only reason he hates to be seen in a bad light is because it doesn’t fit into his narrative that he’s a god come to earth to save mankind.
But we also have to ask ourselves a more sobering question: Do we want to entrust a man so shallow, so dishonest, and so insane with nuclear weapons? That would make us as mad as he is. We can do better. We must do better.
